Family Fun Day

First Saturday of each month.

Family Fun Day 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The Wildlife Experience Museum hosts a family celebration on the first Saturday of every month. The museum invites visitors of all ages to experience the wonders of the earth's wild places and celebrate our world's diverse cultures and wildlife through an array of fun-filled activities. Take a look below at our schedule of Family Fun Day events and speakers for 2008. Check back often as this information is likely to update frequently! Family Fun Day activities are included with the price of admission and may include: story time, bingo, temporary tattoos, trivia wheel, live animal demonstrations and more.

August 2
Come to a LIVE, exciting and interactive animals show with Sally Safari! Get up close to a wallaby, hedgehog, skunk, reptiles, tarantulas and more! You've never had so much fun learning about cool animals!

The Wildlife Experience is teaming up with Executive Recycling for a Family Eco-cycle Event on August 2 from 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. in conjunction with Family Fun Day. Bring in your used or unwanted electronics and receive $1 off admission and one free game of bowling at Brunswick Zone! They will accept anything with a cord - and more! A small fee is required to take TV/CRT items because of the hazardous materials they contain.

September 6
Join SpaceTime at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for an exciting rocket adventure that’s out of this world! Learn about rockets – how they work and how they are made, with this interactive presentation. We will have a real rocket launch, weather permitting!

Movie and a Martini 2008

Movie and Martini LogoCheers to movie buffs and martini lovers alike. This popular film series begins with a delicious cocktail hour featuring martinis, cheese platters and desserts. Following cocktail hour, guests then grab popcorn and take their seats for a special presentation of a timeless film chosen by Movie and a Martini enthusiasts. Our enthusiasts are rewarded with a frequent movie viewer pass - come to five Movie and a Martini's and get the sixth free!

Cocktail hour begins at 6:30 p.m., Movie begins at 7:30 p.m. The galleries and exhibits in the museum are open for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour. Admission is $20 for non-members and $18 for members. Movie and a Martini is a 21 and over event.

Cheetah Presentation

LIVE Cheetah Presentation July 26
11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Join us in welcoming the DeWildt Cheetah and Wildlife Trust for a fun and educational presentation about the plight of the cheetah – and how you can help. Live cheetahs were schedule to appear, but due to a last-minute logistics issue, the live cheetah portion of the presentation had to be cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Art and Ale

Art and Ale August 22
Brew up something special this summer at Art & Ale. Join us for world-class beers, tantalizing eats and live music. Tickets include bottomless food & drink samples, a collector's mug, access to the cigar lounge and entertainment. We welcome guests to peruse the fine art galleries and interactive exhibits during this sell-out event. Ticket prices are $40 per person and $70 per couple. LIVE Bat Presentation

Join the Organization for Bat Conservation for an exciting LIVE bat encounter! Learn about the physiology and behavior of the world’s only flying mammal. Program times are 11:30 a.m. on the 26 and 1:30 p.m. on the 27.

Trick or Treat OFF the Street

Trick or Treat October 31
The Wildlife Experience is hosting its annual Trick-or-Treat OFF the Street this year, a safe and fun celebration of Halloween featuring games, candy stations, crafts, storytelling - and plenty of ghoulish surprises. Trick or Treat OFF the Street features a variety of activities for children of all ages. These include scary stories, creepy crawly crafts, and a haunted graveyard. Candy booths will line the museum's hallways, allowing guests to fill up their bags with candy and spooky toys. Many of the museum's unique galleries will also be open for visitors to stroll through as they wind their way through Trick or Treat OFF the Street. So after they stop in our chilling cemetery, they might enjoy stopping in our Children's Gallery to play one of our interactive wildlife video games. Admission is Free for children under 2, $4.95 for children (ages 2-12), $7.95 for adults and $6.95 for seniors. Members of The Wildlife Experience receive free admission.

Santa Breakfast

Santa Breakfast December 6, 13 and 20
Get out of long Santa lines and have a scrumptious breakfast where children can personally deliver their holiday wish lists to Santa in a truly unique environment. After delivering their lists, children can delight in holiday crafts, face painting, cookie decorating, lots of goodies and many other festive activities! Santa will also be available for pictures, please remember to bring your camera to ensure you don't miss the holiday photo opportunities with Jolly Ol' St. Nick. Tickets for Santa Breakfast are $10 for Children, $14 for Seniors 65+, and $16 for Adults and must be purchased at least three days in advance as limited seating is available.
