Winter blues getting you down? Get out of the house and experience ice fishing first-hand. Join Dave Bryant from Lake Ice U.S.A. at The Wildlife Experience where we will begin with a one hour classroom introduction to ice fishing. Dave will discuss and demonstrate ice safety, tackle, gear and trout fishing techniques. We will then head off-site and experience ice fishing under Dave’s expert tutelage! Fishing location will be determined by ice conditions; if ice conditions are not suitable, we will hold a longer hands-on classroom session.

Ice fishing rods and tackle will be provided. Dress for outdoor winter weather. Warm boots are especially important. Bring camp chair or other sit upon.

Learn how to select bows, arrows, and other archery equipment. Target range is set up for students to try various archery equipment and develop shooting skills. Training on how to apply your skills and judging distance is offered. Designed to teach International style target archery, core content covers archery history, safety, technique, equipment, mental concentration, core strengthening physical fitness and self-improvement. For ages 7 and up. Parents must participate with their children.

Learn fly fishing basics including trout identification, gear, tackle and casting technique. We will also discuss places to fish in Colorado, the western U.S. and even touch on dream destina­tions across the world. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice casting under the guidance of expert instructors from Colorado Skies Outfitters. Great for all ages and genders! Members: $ 15 per person, Non-members: $ 18 per person (Unless otherwise stated). Call 720.488.3344 to register. Explore the wonders of the deep through fine art in our newest exhibit, Art of the Dive, then gather in the comfortable stadium-style theater as Dr. Alex Antoniou with Fins Attached presents current shark research activities through dramatic video and images. Learn more about these beautiful underwater creatures including new findings on shark behavior and movements. A special evening showing of Sharks 3D will immediately follow the presentation.
